We have compiled a global ocean database of dissolved neon, argon, and krypton measurements, supplemented by helium, xenon, and nitrogen/argon (N2/Ar) ratios in some locations. https://erddap.bco-dmo.org/erddap/tabledap/bcodmo_dataset_773146 https://erddap.bco-dmo.org/erddap/tabledap/bcodmo_dataset_773146.graph https://erddap.bco-dmo.org/erddap/files/bcodmo_dataset_773146/ public CARIACO time series individual CTD profiles from B/O Hermano Gines HG93_CARIACO in the CARIACO basin from 1995-2017 (CARIACO project) This collection of data comprises all the Individual CTD profiles from the Cariaco basin taken as part of the CARIACO Ocean Time-Series Program from November 1995 to January 2017.  These include all the CTD profiles taken during the monthly hydrographic cruises at the CARIACO station (10.50\\u00b0 N, 64.67\\u00b0 W), as well as other CTD profiles from extra legs of the monthly cruises, and few spatial cruises collected in and around the Cariaco basin. CTD\\u2019s Salinity and Oxygen where calibrated with in-situ measurements (see Acquisition Description). This dataset is complimentary to the monthly \\u201cCTD Composite Profiles\\u201d (https://www.bco-dmo.org/dataset/3092), and many fields are very similar to that data-base. The IEP:SB is a multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional platform to undertake relevant science in the Southern Benguela; also functioning as a platform for collaboration and learning. \\r\\n\\r\\nNitrate+nitrite concentrations were measured on a Lachat QuickChem flow injection analysis platform in a configuration with a detection limit of 0.1 \\u00b5M, while phosphate and nitrite concentrations were measured using standard benchtop techniques on a Thermo Scientific Genesis 30 Visible spectrophotometer in a configuration with a detection limit of 0.05 \\u00b5M. Walton Smith cruises in the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Straits between 2011 and 2018 This data set includes water column nitrate+nitrite d15N and d18O measurements from the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Straits. These measurements were used to address whether Mississippi River nitrate is entrained in Loop Current waters and potentially exported from the Gulf of Mexico to the North Atlantic.  Water samples were collected during R/V Pelican and R/V F.G. Here we quantify rates of N2 fixation as well as its contribution to export production along a zonal transect in the Western Tropical South Pacific (WTSP) Ocean using N isotope (\\u201cd15N\\u201d) budgets. Comparing measurements of water column nitrate+nitrite d15N with the d15N of sinking particulate N at a western, central, and eastern station, these d15N budgets indicate high, modest, and low rates of N2 fixation at the respective stations. The results also imply that N2 fixation supports exceptionally high, i.e., >50%, of export production at the western and central stations, which are also proximal to the largest iron sources.
