Microstructure measurements were collected using an RSI MicroCTD (Rockland Scientific International, Inc.), which measures velocity shear, temperature, turbidity, and chlorophyll concentrations. High resolution velocity shear (512 Hz) measurements were used to estimate turbulent kinetic energy dissipation throughout the water column.
