Measurements were made from near-surface waters (0.5m). See \"Related Datasets\" section for data from coordinated sampling efforts. Vitamin B1 amendment bottle experiments were conducted using the sample surface water, as well as collections for metagenomes and transcriptomes. Water was collected by N. Curtis and A.
