The MOCNESS-1 carries nine 1-m2 nets usually of 335 micrometer mesh and is intended for use with the macrozooplankton. All nets are black to reduce contrast with the background. A motor/toggle release assembly is mounted on the top portion of the frame and stainless steel cables with swaged fittings are used to attach the net bar to the toggle release. A stepping motor in a pressure compensated case filled with oil turns the escapement crankshaft of the toggle release which sequentially releases the nets to an open then closed position on command from the surface. -- from the MOCNESS Operations Manual (1999 + 2003)."; String instruments_0_instrument_external_identifier "https://vocab.nerc.ac.uk/collection/L22/current/NETT0097/"; String instruments_0_instrument_name "MOCNESS1"; String instruments_0_instrument_nid "437"; String instruments_0_supplied_name "MOCNESS1"; String keywords "abund, area, bco, bco-dmo, biological, cast, center, chemical, code, comments, counter, counter_id, cruise, cruise_id, d_n_flag, data, dataset, day, day_local, depth, depth_bottom, dmo, erddap, filt, flag, gear, gear_area_m2, gear_mesh, gear_type, latitude, life, life_stage, local, longitude, management, max, max_sample_depth, mesh, min, min_sample_depth, month, month_local, national, ncei, nesdis, noaa, nodc, nodc_code, oceanographic, oceanography, office, preliminary, program, sample, sample_id, species, stage, station, time, time_local, type, vol, vol_filt, year"; String license "https://www.bco-dmo.org/dataset/2454/license"; String metadata_source "https://www.bco-dmo.org/api/dataset/2454"; Float64 Northernmost_Northing 44.6517; String param_mapping "{'2454': {'lat': 'master - latitude', 'max_sample_depth': 'flag - depth', 'lon': 'master - longitude'}}"; String parameter_source "https://www.bco-dmo.org/mapserver/dataset/2454/parameters"; String people_0_affiliation "Northwest Fisheries Science Center - Newport"; String people_0_affiliation_acronym "NOAA NWFSC"; String people_0_person_name "Dr William T. To embody this understanding in diagnostic and prognostic ecosystem models, capable of capturing the ecosystem response to major climatic fluctuations. Approach: To study the effects of past and present climate variability on the population ecology and population dynamics of marine biota and living marine resources, and to use this information as a proxy for how the ecosystems of the eastern North Pacific may respond to future global climate change. The strong temporal variability in the physical and biological signals of the NEP will be used to examine the biophysical mechanisms through which zooplankton and salmon populations respond to physical forcing and biological interactions in the coastal regions of the two gyres. Annual and interannual variability will be studied directly through long-term observations and detailed process studies; variability at longer time scales will be examined through retrospective analysis of directly measured and proxy data. Coupled biophysical models of the ecosystems of these regions will be developed and tested using the process studies and data collected from the long-term observation programs, then further tested and improved by hindcasting selected retrospective data series."; String projects_0_geolocation "Northeast Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Alaska"; String projects_0_name "U.S. GLOBEC Northeast Pacific"; String projects_0_project_nid "2038"; String projects_0_project_website "http://nepglobec.bco-dmo.org"; String projects_0_start_date "1997-01"; String publisher_name "Biological and Chemical Oceanographic Data Management Office (BCO-DMO)"; String publisher_type "institution"; String sourceUrl "(local files)"; Float64 Southernmost_Northing 42.4733; String standard_name_vocabulary "CF Standard Name Table v55"; String subsetVariables "gear_type,gear_area_m2,gear_mesh"; String summary "MOCNESS-1 Plankton Abundances from the R/V Wecoma, R/V New Horizon W0004B, NH0005, W0007A, NH0007, W0009A, W0204A, W0205A from the Northeast Pacific, 2000 and 2002 (NEP project)"; String title "[MOC1 zoop abund] - MOCNESS-1 Plankton Abundances from the R/V Wecoma, R/V New Horizon W0004B, NH0005, W0007A, NH0007, W0009A, W0204A, W0205A from the Northeast Pacific, 2000 and 2002 (NEP project) (U.S. GLOBEC Northeast Pacific)"; String version "1"; Float64 Westernmost_Easting -125.1167; String xml_source "osprey2erddap.update_xml() v1.3"; } }
The URL specifies what you want: the dataset, a description of the graph or the subset of the data, and the file type for the response.
Tabledap request URLs must be in the form
https://coastwatch.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap/tabledap/datasetID.fileType{?query}
For example,
https://coastwatch.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap/tabledap/pmelTaoDySst.htmlTable?longitude,latitude,time,station,wmo_platform_code,T_25&time>=2015-05-23T12:00:00Z&time<=2015-05-31T12:00:00Z
Thus, the query is often a comma-separated list of desired variable names,
followed by a collection of
constraints (e.g., variable<value),
each preceded by '&' (which is interpreted as "AND").
For details, see the tabledap Documentation.
