SF6 concentrations were measured onboard using a gas chromatograph equipped with an electron capture detector (GC-ECD), following gas separation via a purge-and-trap SF6 analysis system. 3He concentrations were determined at the laboratory at the Institute of Environmental Physics at the University of Bremen, using a helium isotope mass spectrometer (MAP 215-50).
