The expedition aimed to understand the impact of mesoscale eddies on the ecosystem of the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre. Hydrographic water samples collected during the cruise were measured for nitrate 15N/14N isotope ratios using the denitrifier method. These measurements were performed by Mengyang Zhou at the University of Connecticut. |
