    String summary "This dataset represents the shotgun metagenome samples used in used in Zhao et al., ISME J 2025. Samples for metagenomic sequencing were collected from the oxygen minimum zone in the Eastern Tropical Pacific Ocean during the R/V Sally Ride (SR2114) cruise, December 2021 – January 2022. Sea water was collected from all nine depths for all five sampling stations reported in the Zhao et al., paper (See Table for details). Collections were made using Niskin bottles on a rosette containing a conductivity–temperature–depth profiler (Sea-Bird SBE 911plus). DNA was extracted from biomass on collecting filters using the MoBio Power Soil kit (MoBio Inc. Carlsbad, CA, USA) and libraries were prepared for metagenomic sequencing using the Illumina DNA library prep kit with unique dual indexing according to manufacturer's instructions, except that the protocol was terminated after isolation of cleaned double stranded libraries. An equimolar mixture of the libraries was sequenced on an Illumina NovaSeq 6000 instrument at the Molecular Evolution Core, Georgia Institute of Technology. The shotgun metagenomes are available in the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) under BioProject number PRJNA1124864.";

Using tabledap to Request Data and Graphs from Tabular Datasets

tabledap lets you request a data subset, a graph, or a map from a tabular dataset (for example, buoy data), via a specially formed URL. tabledap uses the OPeNDAP (external link) Data Access Protocol (DAP) (external link) and its selection constraints (external link).

The URL specifies what you want: the dataset, a description of the graph or the subset of the data, and the file type for the response.

Tabledap request URLs must be in the form
https://coastwatch.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap/tabledap/datasetID.fileType{?query}
For example,
https://coastwatch.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap/tabledap/pmelTaoDySst.htmlTable?longitude,latitude,time,station,wmo_platform_code,T_25&time>=2015-05-23T12:00:00Z&time<=2015-05-31T12:00:00Z
Thus, the query is often a comma-separated list of desired variable names, followed by a collection of constraints (e.g., variable<value), each preceded by '&' (which is interpreted as "AND").

For details, see the tabledap Documentation.
